Wright Family Reunion 2008!

So we are finally in Gatlinburg, TN! Every year, coming up on the first weekend in August our family makes the trip down here for the great Wright Family Reunion! (That's my mom's side of the family for those who don't know.) My family started this really cool tradition in 1989, making the first trip after my great-grandfather passed away. This year, with the 20th annual Wright Family Reunion, Great-'Grandma Linnie' and the rest of our gang will total a little over 50 I believe! We arrived earlier today (Wednesday) and the rest will trickle in throughout the rest of the week, with everyone lounging and talking by the pools, catching up while doing some shopping and going out to dinner in various small groups, ...could you imagine trying to get reservations in Gatlinburg for 50?!?! This year my brother will be making the trip for the first time in about 5 years! I'm so excited that all four of us could finally go somewhere together!!

Busy Busy Week!

So this week has been Hectic...to say the least! But it has also been so much FUN! At BLBC, we had our VBS this week, and for the first time in about 3 years, I was actually here to help with it and not in Venezuela. This year our theme was the "Amazon Expedition", and I had the privelage of being the missions coordinator and got to do the nightly 'creature feature' time! I had a blast, and was blown away by the mission offering we were able to raise...over $500 to go toward spreading the Gospel of Christ!! To help get the kids excited about giving, Kyle offered to get a mohawk if the boys one while Robby promised to shave his head if the girls won. Well, Robby ended up saying that he would do it no matter what if both teams (girls vs. boys) met their goal. (Each team had a goal of $200!) Well, each team succeeded their goal, with the boys coming out on top, so tonight both guys are getting a haircut!!

Then tomorrow night, our college group is having a game night at our house. Then church on Sunday, with some kids coming up to the house during the day! Then starts me week long vacation from UPS!!! With Monday being a shopping day! Tuesday a possible road trip to Cincinnati with Kayla! And Wednesday, leaving for Gatlinburg, TN for the anual Wright Family Reunion!! I look foward to updating on all the fun to be had over the next week!!!

Simple Words...

It's crazy how much a simple "Thanks...it was awesome. thanks" can change things! It wasn't anything special, but I know that God's gonna work out everything!! Such a wonderful night!!

I know this is an odd blog post, but it's simply me 'venting'.

Nice 4th of July present!!!

Well as some may know, my family owns Bullitt County Team Sports, ... or we did. As of Thursday July 3 around 2:30, we are no longer the official owners of it! This is a praise, just to be clear! We have been in the process of selling the place for a few months now and the Lord was faithful!!! What a wonderful 4th of July present!! God is Good!!!

My Best Friend!

So last night I was able to have a very nice, wonderful, enlightening, long over-due, much-needed 'best friend' talks!!! With our busying lives and differing schedules, our talks are becoming more and more precious and treasured! I'm so grateful that God has given me such a wonderful friend!!
